With a plethora of hot hotel openings coming our way on a daily basis, we’ve decided to create an overview of up and coming properties on the horizon.

To give you information on which ones should be on your list, we’ve rounded out five of the best properties from around the globe. In this week’s edition, we’ve got standout properties from Centara, YOTEL, StayWell Holdings, Rosewood and Best Western Hotels & Resorts.

Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa, Krabi

Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa Krabi

Thailand’s Centara Hotels & Resorts has signed a hotel management agreement for a 180-room property on Ao Nang Beach, Krabi, under its upscale brand Centara. The up and coming hotel will be Centara’s fourth property in Krabi and is expected to open in September 2019.

Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa Krabi will be the first chain hotel in the area which has direct access to Ao Nang beach. The resort’s 180 rooms will range from 39-81 sqm in eight configurations, including 20 family-friendly residences with bunk beds. Most ground floor rooms will have direct pool access.

Centara is planning a modern design, with F&B outlets that can be used for breakfast and special event buffets, or independent themes and menus. The resort will also feature a spa and beach club.

YOTEL, Porto

YOTEL Porto

YOTEL has announced plans to operate a new hotel in Porto, Portugal due to open in 2019. The hotel will be located on Rua de Gonçalo Cristóvão, in the heart of the traditional centre of Porto, adjacent to the city’s business district — Rua de Santa Catarina.

YOTEL Porto will offer approximately 147 rooms or ‘cabins’ as they are known. In typical YOTEL style, each cabin will have a signature space-saving adjustable SmartBed with Serta gel mattress, ensuite bathrooms with rain showers, mood lighting and HD TVs that can easily be connected to guests’ own devices.

The Prince Akatoki, London

StayWell Holdings, a subsidiary of Prince Hotels Inc., has announced its first property under The Prince Akatoki brand with the acquisition of The Arch London, which will undergo a refurbishment, rebrand and repositioning in 2019.

Situated in the heart of London, in the chic residential area of Marylebone, the hotel is positioned in a strategic location for guests to enjoy everything the buzzing tourist destination has to offer — from a walk-through Hyde Park to a show at West End and shopping in London’s most acclaimed fashion districts.

Rosewood, Venice

Rosewood Venice

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has been appointed by Italian real estate company Gruppo Barletta to manage Rosewood Venice, which is set to open in 2020 as the brand’s second property in Italy and eighth in Europe.

Located in the heart of the bustling Cannaregio neighbourhood, Rosewood Venice will be housed within the magnificent 15th-century Palazzo Dona’ Giovannelli and located near many of the city’s most legendary landmarks, including the Strada Nova, Piazza San Marco, Basilica di San Marco, and Palazzo Ducale.

Best Western Plus Ha Long Bay Hotel, Vietnam

Best Western Plus Ha Long Bay Hotel

Best Western Hotels & Resorts will introduce a new Best Western Plus overlooking Ha Long Bay in northern Vietnam following the signing of a new waterfront hotel that will boast a breathtaking view of the UNESCO World Heritage site.

Located on the Ha Long City waterfront, just a short distance from Ha Long Bay’s cruise port, the hotel will feature 327 rooms and suites, many of which will showcase Ha Long Bay’s seascape with panoramic windows and balconies.

Best Western Plus Ha Long Bay Hotel is currently under construction and scheduled to welcome its first guests in the third quarter of 2020.
