Hot hotel openings: Amari Vientiane and more

It’s Friday once again and we’re ending the week right with another round-up of the hottest hotel openings from around the globe. From the emerging capital city of Laos to the bustling cities of Berlin and New York — check out the latest announcements and openings from Amari, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Staybridge Suites, Hilton, and Marriott International.

Amari Vientiane

ONYX Hospitality Group announced a management agreement to develop a new-build Amari hotel in the city centre of Vientiane, the capital city of Laos.

Amari Vientiane will occupy a central Mekong Riverside location, a short stroll to the city’s popular ‘night market street’ and the Chao Anouvong Park. Other top city centre attractions include the Patuxay Victory Monument, Lao National Museum and Wat Si — all of which are easily accessible by foot or by tuk-tuk or fixed-route shared jumbos.

Featuring 250 rooms and suites in a 15-storey building, Amari Vientiane will offer Amari brand signatures including service from Amari Hosts, the street market-style Amaya Food Gallery, Breeze Spa, meetings facilities and indoor/outdoor space designed for sharing and informal gatherings.

Conrad Washington, DC

Conrad Washington, DC is now accepting reservations for guests, meetings and events in anticipation of its opening in February 2019. The 360-room hotel, situated at the corner of New York Avenue and 10th Street NW, is the first for Conrad Hotels & Resorts in the nation’s capital. The property is designed with an inspired art collection and culinary offerings led by world-renowned chefs.

Furthermore, the hotel anchors the second phase of CityCenterDC, a high-end, mixed-use development in downtown Washington DC known for its collection of upscale retail stores and eateries, developed by the international real estate firm Hines and investor Qatari Diar.

Staybridge Suites The Hague – Parliament

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has opened its first Staybridge Suites in the Netherlands, Staybridge Suites The Hague – Parliament.

The hotel is situated opposite of the world’s oldest parliament building still in use, the Binnenhof, and sits alongside the Court Pond and the Mauritshuis Museum, making it the perfect location to take pictures of The Hague’s historic skyline.

Staybridge Suites The Hague – Parliament offers 101 contemporary designed suites with a layout and interior design inspired by the city’s rich history and environment. The hotel itself is comprised of three buildings, two of which are located on the central Lange Vijverberg.

Hampton by Hilton Berlin East Side Gallery

Berlin has officially welcomed its third Hampton by Hilton property — the global value hotel brand by Hilton. The property joins Hampton by Hilton Berlin City West and Hampton by Hilton Berlin City Centre Alexanderplatz within the capital, whilst also becoming the brand’s ninth Hampton by Hilton hotel in Germany.

Hampton by Hilton Berlin City East Side Gallery is nestled in the neighbourhood of Berlin Friedrichshain, in the heart of Berlin’s new entertainment district. The 254-room property is just a 40-minute drive from either Berlin Tegel Airport or Berlin Schönefeld Airport, and within walking distance to the train station.

Protea Hotel by Marriott Accra, Kotoka Airport

Protea Hotels by Marriott announced the signing of Protea Hotel by Marriott Accra, Kotoka Airport — the brand’s second hotel in Ghana and the first Protea Hotel by Marriott in the capital city of Accra. The hotel will be strategically located in the prestigious airport residential area of Accra, less than a mile from the Kotoka International Airport.

Protea Hotel by Marriott Accra Kokota Airport will be a 17-story, 200-room hotel offering a restaurant, a lobby bar and lounge, small conference and meeting facilities, an aircrew lounge, a gymnasium and a roof-top pool bar and lounge with views of the city.
