The beautifully red Tokyo Tower is a radio tower that was built before the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and is 333m high which is the second tallest structure in Japan after the Tokyo Skytree. You will be able to see it when walking the streets of Tokyo, but don’t be satisfied with just seeing it from the ground, so please visit the observatory in Tokyo Tower. You’ll find the special ‘other’’ Tokyo Tower from there, which is hidden in the beautiful skyline of Tokyo.

Sky Deck at Tokyo City View

Roppongi, Tokyo

Roppongi is absolutely one of the most popular night areas in Tokyo and the Sky Deck at Tokyo City View in Roppongi is one of the best places to view the skyline of Tokyo. It is an outdoor observation deck 270m above sea level and will give you a chance to feel and experience the big city ‘Tokyo’ with the Tokyo Tower in the panoramic view.

Shinagawa Season Terrace

Shinagawa, Tokyo

To be honest, Shinagawa Season Terrace is not for travellers but for business people who work around the Shinagawa area, however, this place is my hidden gem recommendation for your Instagram. It is located in the centre of the city but you can see the beautiful Tokyo Tower without any building blocks in front of you, and the area is very quiet and calm. There are various events each season such as night markets, an outdoor cinema and yoga, which will allow you to experience the city as the locals do.
