Ernesto Suarez, founder and CEO of iCarhireinsurance.com, a leading provider of car hire excess insurance, said: “While some will be waiting with bated breath for countries to go on the green list, particularly if they’ve got a paid-for holiday postponed from last year, over half do not see themselves travelling abroad until next year. It remains to be seen in what form travel will slowly start up again and whether the great British summer weather will have to suffice for the majority of holidays this year.”
“Hiring a car is a great way to explore, whether holidaying abroad or in the UK, and the same rules apply when it comes to making sure you don’t end up paying a fortune at the rental desk. Don’t forget to shop around for a good deal, and check the price of any extras you need, as these can really add up. Make sure you take your sat nav, and any child car seats with you, and buy your car hire excess insurance in advance from an independent specialist,” he added.
