Thailand’s Absolute Hotel Services (AHS) is expanding its upscale Eastin hotel brand in India, with the launch of a new property in Darjeeling, West Bengal.

The Eastin Hotel Kurseong Darjeeling will open its doors in April 2016, set in a mountainous region known for its tea industry.

The property will offer a total of 100 rooms and suites, plus two restaurants including a vegetarian option, a lounge, terrace café and a traditional wooden tea house.

There is also a wellness centre featuring spa treatment rooms, a gym and meditation and yoga rooms, plus a swimming pool. And for the MICE market, the hotel includes a banquet and meeting centre.

The Eastin Hotel Kurseong Darjeeling was previously announced as being an Eastin Easy hotel, but it has now been moved to the higher brand tier.

AHS operates a collection of Eastin, Eastin Easy and U Hotels in several locations across India.
