ABTA has announced the speakers for its Travel Matters conference later this year.
Aviation Minister Robert Goodwill MP will be speaking at the one-day event, as will Shadow Secretary for Transport Mary Creagh MP.
The two keynote speakers will discuss policy matters and current issues around the theme ‘Targeting Growth, 2015 and Beyond’ at the London conference.
ABTA’s chief executive will hold a panel discussion with Julia Lo Bue-Said, managing director from the Advantage Travel Partnership and Phil Boggon, Monarch Travel Group managing director.
Other sessions will include a panel discussion on airport capacity with representatives from both Heathrow and Gatwick; a discussion on competitiveness with Deloitte and an ATOL update from the Department of Transport’s head of aviation policy Kate Jennings.
“Politics is centre-stage in the UK at the moment as we countdown to May 2015, and Travel Matters is a great opportunity to bring the politics and policy debate to the heart of the industry. ABTA is delighted to welcome an outstanding panel of industry experts for this important event,” said ABTA’s head of public affairs Stephen D’Alfonso. “With a packed agenda and a host of lively question and answer sessions expected I look forward, with colleagues, to welcoming delegates from across travel, Westminster, the media and beyond.”
