AccorHotels will open a new apartment hotel in Melbourne next month.
The Sebel Melbourne Moorabbin, which is a new-build upscale property, is scheduled to open its doors in January 2017.
Located in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne, 45 minutes’ drive from the airport, the hotel will become the third Sebel in Melbourne and the brand’s fifth property in the state of Victoria. It is owned by the Accommodation Management Group, which also own the Mercure Warragul.
“This is a strategic and significant new development for Moorabbin, and we are delighted to once again be working with Accommodation Management Group Limited to provide more places to stay in the area,” stated Simon McGrath, AccorHotels’ chief operating officer for Australia and the Pacific.
AccorHotels took control of the Sebel apartment hotel brand in 2012, following the company’s acquisition of the Mirvac Group.
