The Abu Dhabi Airports Company’s (ADAC) announced the launch of a new self-service check-in kiosk which has been introduced at the Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi Yas Island Hotel.

The exclusive self-service kiosks offer passengers an opportunity to check-in to their flight, print their boarding passes and tag bags before leaving the hotel lobby. When the check in process is complete, the passengers then take their bags to the baggage drop desk at the airport, and go straight to passport control.

Commenting on the introduction, Harib Al Hameli, VP Operations of Abu Dhabi International Airport, said: “The self-service kiosks in hotels across the city allow passengers to manage their own travel plans conveniently and easily. Our existing kiosks have been very popular, and the full check-in service at ADNEC, along with the facility in the city, continues to offer innovative services.”

“With the Formula 1 2012 season approaching, we expect this new addition to our off-site facilities on Yas Island,” added Al Hameli.

The new check-in service is the 4th remote check-in facility launched by ADAC for Abu Dhabi International Airport. The new facility became available in the Middle East last year, when it was introduced as a first of its kind in a hotel at the Park Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
