Tourism Australia has named Adelaide as the host city for Corroboree Europe next year.

The trade show will be held in partnership with Singapore Airlines and South Australian Tourism Commission from 26 to 29 April 2015, with fam trips to take place after the training workshops.

The show will be the first to not have a transfer in Australia with agents transiting through Singapore instead, while Virgin Australia is a partner for the first time to provide domestic flights for the fams.

Next year’s Corroboree will be the seventh and includes training, workshops and product updates with tour operators.

Three hundred agents will attend the event and can only apply if they are an Aussie Specialist.

John O’Sullivan, managing director, Tourism Australia, said: “We are delighted to announce Singapore Airlines and Virgin Australia as our official airline partners and to confirm that the 2015 event will be held in Adelaide, gateway to the wineries of South Australia and the natural paradise of Kangaroo Island.”

Rodney Harrex, chief executive South Australian Tourism Commission added: “We are very excited to be hosting Corroboree Europe. Adelaide and South Australia with its diverse world class tourism experiences provides the perfect backdrop for this event and we look forward to training agents on South Australian products. The SATC shares a positive working relationship with Singapore Airlines who recently celebrated their 30th anniversary of flying to Adelaide.”
