Adventure tour operator Kumuka has gone into administration.
The Surrey-based company, which was set up in 1983, ceased trading earlier this week following tough trading conditions.
Intrepid Travel has now set up a hotline for travel agents and customers to help with those affected by the collapse. The tour operator is offering a 20% discount on equivalent tours on travel before 18 September and a 15% discount for Kumuka passengers travelling between 19 September and 31 December.
“It is sad to see the closure of a company that we have long respected as a collaborator in building the adventure travel sector. We understand that this is a distressing time for Kumuka staff and our thoughts are with them,” said Geoff Manchester, managing director of Intrepid Travel. “It is also distressing for travellers who have paid for airfares and got time off work to take a dream trip. We hope that we can help them to still enjoy an amazing adventure”.
Intrepid’s hotline is available through 01373 828 314 or help@intrepidtravel.com.
