Aeromexico has continued its global expansion with the hiring of a new sales and marketing representative in India.
Discover the World has now started representing the Mexican carrier in India. The move follows Discover the World joining IATA’s Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) in India, which is aimed at simplifying the sales and electronic ticketing process.
“We have been partners with Discover the World since 1995 and they now handle our sales and marketing in 35 countries,” explained Sergi Salvador Vens, Aeromexico’s offline markets manager for Europe and Asia.
“It was the right time to join forces with them again since we are in the process of joining BSP in India and they have extensive experience in aiding international carriers wishing to join BSP.”
Mark Mendes, Discover the World’s director in India, will now be tasked with promoting Aeromexico’s routes and services to the Indian market. Aeromexico does not currently fly to India, but it has links to the country through its SkyTeam alliance partners.
“With online service from both Asia and Europe, our team in India will be able to increase awareness of the carrier to agents and explore opportunities from the market. We are very pleased Aeromexico has continued to expand its relationship with us,” said Jenny Adams, CEO of Discover the World.
