In a recent development, Air Astana has announced its intent to re-launch flights between Astana and Dubai from 25 October 2015.
The service was suspended in October 2010 due to traffic and landing rights considerations. The new direct flight will be operated four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
“Air Astana is fully committed to expanding from Astana, with the re-launch to Dubai following the recent introduction of new services from Paris, Seoul and Tbilisi,” said Peter Foster, OBE, president of Air Astana. “With Kazakhstan and UAE enjoying strengthening links in business, finance, tourism and culture, I am confident that the new service will work out positively.”
The service to Dubai will offer convenience to passengers located in Astana, as well as from cities including Kostanay, Pavlodar and Ust-Kamenogorsk. Additionally, timely connections will be offered to international transit passengers travelling from Urumqi (China), Omsk (Russia) and Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).
