Travellers flying between Europe and East Asia now have the chance to stopover in Kazakhstan.

Air Astana, the Central Asian country’s national carrier, has unveiled new stopover packages in both the capital city Astana and largest city Almaty.

Passengers are offered one night’s stay in a three- or four-star hotel, buffet breakfast and two-way airport transfers starting from just US$1 per night. Guests booking additional nights can also take part in a free seasonal tour of Almaty –  a former Winter Olympic host city.

Air Astana flies to London, Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt in Europe, and multiple destinations in Asia including Bangkok, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
