Air Canada adds new Heathrow connection
Air Canada has relaunched its seasonal service between London Heathrow and the Newfoundland city of St John’s.
The direct daily service, which commenced last week, will operate until 30 September using a 120-seat, two-class Airbus A319 aircraft.
“This year, we are starting service almost two weeks earlier than last year due to strong performance and support from the St John’s community,” said Marcel Forget, the airline’s vice president of network planning. “Once again we are pleased to offer our customers in Newfoundland and Labrador the fastest and most efficient way of making connections to several European capitals such as Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Vienna, Warsaw, and Berlin.”
The flights depart St John’s at 2205, arriving in London at 0635. The return service leaves Heathrow at 1300, arriving back in St. John’s at 1510. The Air Canada service is the only direct flight between the UK and Newfoundland.
