Air India is now offering its premium passengers the chance to pre-order their in-flight meals.
Under the new ‘Order to Chef’ initiative, Air India will contact passengers prior to departure and ask for their meal preferences from a list of menu options. The airline said the menu features “the best of Indian cuisine, a wide variety of continental and seafood recipes”.
‘Order the Chef’ is now available for first and business class passengers flying from Delhi to Chicago, New York and London, but Air India says it plans to expand the service to other international routes shortly.
The new service has been arranged in partnership with Air India’s in-flight catering partners TajSats and Sky Gourmet.
