Air India registered a revenue increase of 21% for the first quarter of 2012. Despite the 58-day pilot strike, the carrier’s revenue rose 3% in June over the same period last fiscal.
“Our performance has been good on several parameters, both on quarter-on-quarter as well as month-on-month basis. Our overall revenue rose 20.8% in the first quarter to INR2,900 crore from INR2,400 crore in the same quarter last year,” an official source told the Times of India.
