Air India to offer Hajj flights from seven cities

Air India has announced that it will operate special Hajj pilgrimage flights from seven Indian airports.
The national carrier will offer direct services to the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah from Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Srinagar and Goa.
A total of 230 flights will operate in two phases; the outbound phase commenced on 16 August and will include a total of 115 flights from the seven cities, running until 17 September.
The inbound phase will run from 28 September to 28 October, and will see Air India operate another 115 flights from Jeddah back to India.
The flights will be able to carry a total of 38,000 pilgrims on a mix of Airbus A340 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
