Air India has increased the amount of free baggage passengers are able to carry on domestic flights.
The national carrier will now allow economy class passengers to check-in up to 25kg of baggage without charge, under a limited time promotion that runs from today (12 August 2015) until 7 February 2016.
Passengers who have booked tickets prior to these dates, but whose flights fall within the promotion period, will be eligible for the increased weight allowance.
Indian airlines usually offer just 15kg of checked baggage.
