AirAsia is planning to launch three new international routes from Kota Kinabalu, Langkawi and Penang later this month.

The expansion will kick off on 22 January with the launch of direct flights between Kota Kinabalu and Wuhan, central China. This service will operate daily with an evening departure from Kota Kinabalu.

Then on 24 January, AirAsia will commence a new service linking Langkawi with Guangzhou. Flights will run four times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) with early morning departures from Langkawi.

And finally on 25 January, AirAsia will start operating a new direct service between Penang and Ho Chi Minh City. This route will also run four times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) with lunchtime departures from Penang.

AirAsia will serve all three new routes using its fleet of all-economy Airbus A320 aircraft.

The Penang-HCMC route will mark the first direct Vietnamese flights from Penang, while the Langkawi-Guangzhou will offer the resort island its first direct link to China.
