AirAsia boosts capacity between KL and SG

AirAsia has announced it will boost the number of seats available between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur with the introduction of twice-daily flights, on 10 November 2019, powered by the wide-body Airbus A330.
AirAsia’s regional commercial head, Amanda Woo said: “We are very excited about the commencement of flight services using our fleet of wide-body aircraft Airbus A330 in response to the increased demand for Kuala Lumpur bound, all thanks to the constant support of our passengers. Ahead of the Visit Malaysia Year in 2020, we hope to be able to contribute and help to promote Malaysia tourism with our value fares. Guests can also look forward to trying out our award-winning premium flatbed and other perks at attractive prices.”

This year to date, AirAsia has flown over 1 million passengers on Singapore – Kuala Lumpur sector with 24% being Singapore passport holders; recorded a steady 14% y-o-y increase. As part of the effort to ease the overwhelming demand, AirAsia doubles up the seating capacity with the addition of close to 400 seats per day through the operation of its wide-body aircraft.
