AirAsia goes double daily to Yogyakarta
AirAsia will double its flight frequency on the Kuala Lumpur-Yogyakarta route from one to two daily flights next month.
Effective 31 October 2012, the Malaysian low-cost carrier will add an afternoon departure from KL, leaving at 1640 and arriving in Yogyakarta at 1815. The flight time will change in the months ahead, but it will always remain an afternoon service. All flights will be operated using AirAsia’s all-economy, 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.
“The increase of flight frequency for the Kuala Lumpur–Yogyakarta route from once to twice daily is to provide our guests with further convenience and more choices of flights times to suit their schedule and travel preferences,” said AirAsia’s Director of Commercial, Jasmine Lee.
Yogyakarta in Central Java is the closest airport for tourists visiting the UNESCO-listed Borobudur temple and active volcano Mount Merapi.
