AirAsia has commenced flights on four new routes from U-Tapao Airport, the gateway to Pattaya and Thailand’s eastern seaboard.
On 27 November, the low-cost carrier launched new flights from U-Tapao to Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Singapore and Macau, using its fleet of 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. The Udon Thani, Singapore and Macau flights will all operate daily, while the Chiang Mai service will run 10 times a week.
These new flights are in addition to the airline’s existing four weekly flights to Kuala Lumpur and Nanchang and three weekly flights to Nanning.
A new four-times-a-week service to Hat Yai will also start in December, taking AirAsia’s total operations at U-Tapao to 46 weekly flights to eight destinations.
Passengers travelling to U-Tapao Airport are also offered AirAsia’s City Transfer service, which provides shuttle bus connections to Pattaya, Rayong and Koh Samed.
