AirAsia is expanding its operations to more cities in northern Thailand, with the launch of a new shuttle bus service.
Passengers will now be able to travel to Pai and Sukhothai on a single ticket combining air tickets and private bus transfers. The Pai shuttle bus will operate from Chiang Mai, while the Sukhothai services will operate from AirAsia’s newest destination, Phitsanulok.
The launch of shuttle bus services follow the launch of AirAsia’s combined flight and ferry tickets connecting to Thailand’s southern islands.
“AirAsia has set its sights on building the most convenient and inclusive travel network beyond its growing number of flight destinations by offering shuttle van and ferry transfer services. In a single booking, travellers can choose their entire travel path and make one convenient single payment. The service offers great value for both local travellers and foreign visitors who want to travel throughout Thailand during the year-end holiday period” said Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia.
As well as bus services to Pai and Sukhothai, AirAsia offers ferry connections to the islands of Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lipe, Koh Ngai, Koh Yao Noi and Koh Lanta.
