The AirAsia Group will be moving its operations at Yangon International Airport from Terminal 2 to the new Terminal 1 on 28 June 2016.
Passengers travelling on all flights operated by Malaysia AirAsia (flight code AK) and Thai AirAsia (flight code FD) are advised to check-in at Terminal 1 from Tuesday onwards. The new terminal is within walking distance of the old Terminal 2.
The low-cost carrier said that all passengers flying to and from Yangon will be informed of the change via email and SMS.
Malaysia AirAsia currently operates two routes to Yangon, from Kuala Lumpur and Penang, while Thai AirAsia operates flights from Bangkok. In total, the company operates 45 weekly flights to Myanmar’s largest city.
