AirAsia will suspend its thrice weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur to Goa on 7 June 2016, as part of its route rationalisation plan.

Spencer Lee, AirAsia’s head of commercial, said, “We take very careful considerations for every new route that we introduce. However this suspension is due to our route rationalisation exercise. Despite this route adjustment, we remain committed to the Indian market and look forward to return to Goa in the future.”

Passengers affected by this suspension will be offered three options, including moving their flight date forward, full credit for another AirAsia flight within 180 days, or a full refund.

Following the suspension of the Goa route, Kuala Lumpur-based AirAsia will fly to six Indian cities: Kochi, Chennai, Tiruchirappalli, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Vishakhapatnam.
