Passengers travelling with Air India and Jet Airways from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport will soon be able to check-in two Metro stations in the Indian capital.
Effective 1 July, passengers will be able to use check-in services at the Shivaji Stadium and New Delhi stations. This marks an expansion of the scheme that currently only allows Air India passengers to check-in at New Delhi Station.
The new service will be available to both domestic and international passengers of the two airlines. The check-in counters at the two Metro stations will close two hours before the flight’s scheduled departure time.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation stated that passengers will be able to obtain their boarding pass and check-in the luggage at the stations, and baggage will be transferred to the airport
