Kazakhstan’s travel industry has seen huge growth over the last few years, and in 2009, the country’s inbound tourism grew by 8%, whilst outbound tourism saw a 23% increase – a total of 3,687,000 travellers. Riding on this growth, Al Bustan Centre and Residence is keen to tap into this growing market and has participated in the 12th Kazakhstan International Travel Fair (KITF), held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
This year’s event saw the largest number of participants from Dubai which shows the importance of the Kazakhstan market in the industry.
Khaled Saab, director of sales and marketing, who represented Al Bustan Centre and Residence at the event said: “Our main aim and objective was to establish new business contacts and establishing our brand in the region through maintaining existing business contacts and inking purchase contracts for tourist products/services. Business is expected to improve in the coming seasons. Connectivity is being improved with Air Arabia and Air Astana already operating to Almaty and on-going negotiations with Fly Dubai to commence operations.”
