Amadeus hosts Korean travel forum in Bangkok
Amadeus recently joined forces with TOPAS, the Korean CRS company, to host the first Korean Travel Leaders’ Forum in Bangkok.
The forum gathered a group of 30 Korean travel agents, as well as representatives from the senior management of TOPAS, Korean Air and Amadeus, to discuss the future of the Korean travel industry and showcase both Amadeus’ and TOPAS’ latest products, including the new CRS ‘TOPAS Plus’.
“Korea is a fascinating travel market, with rapid growth both inbound and outbound,” said David Brett, President of Amadeus Asia Pacific. “The Korean Travel Leaders’ Forum brought together a group of senior travel professionals to discuss the challenges we are facing, and some proposed solutions using new technology. I believe the industry as a whole recognises that technology will play a pivotal role in the future of Korean travel,” he added.
The forum also included presentations from Korean Air and a guest speaker from Japanese travel agency HIS.
“We are very excited to see what the future holds in Korea and last week’s forum provided an excellent opportunity to hear directly from the travel agents in terms of what they need to succeed,” commented Brett.
