ANA has confirmed an order for three more Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The deal, which is valued at approximately US$945 million at current list prices, will increase the total number of B777s in ANA’s fleet to 57.
“The addition of three new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will further strengthen ANA Group’s long-haul network,” said the Japanese airline’s president & CEO, Shinichiro Ito. “[This] will allow us to capitalise on the expansion of airport slots in the Tokyo area.”
As well as operating a large fleet of B777s, ANA was the launch customer of the B787 aircraft, and currently operates 20 Dreamliners – the world’s largest fleet. It also has outstanding orders for a further 46 Dreamliners, 16 B787-8s and 30 larger B787-9s.
ANA currently operates its B777-300ERs in a range of cabin configurations, with capacities ranging from 213 to 250 passengers. Deliveries of the new aircraft are due to commence in 2015.
