ANA has confirmed an order for seven Airbus A321 aircraft.
The deal, which was first announced in January 2015, will see the Japanese carrier take delivery of four standard A321s and three new A321neo aircraft.
ANA will configure its A321neos with a new interior seating concept called ‘Cabin-Flex’, which will enable each aircraft to seat up to 240 passengers. The standard A321 will offer up to 220 seats.
“We are honoured that such a prestigious airline as Japan’s ANA Group has decided to expand its Airbus fleet by firming up this commitment,” said John Leahy, Airbus‘ chief operating officer.
“By selecting our single-aisle aircraft, ANA Group will benefit from unbeatable fuel efficiency and excellent cabin comfort for its demanding customers.”
This new order brings ANA’s total commitments for the A320 series to 37 aircraft – 26 A321neos, four A321s and seven A320neos.
