Anantara has officially rebranded the former Four Seasons Bangkok to create its new flagship hotel in the Thai capital.
The Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel is located on central Bangkok’s Rajadamri Road, opposite the Royal Bangkok Sports Club and close to the city’s main shopping malls. Minor Hotel Group, Anantara’s parent company which owns the hotel, has confirmed plans to invest US$20 million renovating the property over the coming months.
“We are excited to reflag this prestigious property in central Bangkok to our core luxury Anantara brand and it’s a fantastic addition to the brand’s portfolio,” said Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotel Group.
“The property has a great history and will become the brand’s flagship here in Thailand and we are confident that as Anantara Siam it will continue its life as one of the city’s leading hotels.”
The hotel offers 354 rooms and suites, 10 F&B outlets, a swimming pool, tropical gardens with a waterfall and lotus ponds, an Anantara Spa and a 24-hour health club with a gym, squash court, yoga studio, steam room and whirlpool.
For the MICE market, the property includes numerous meeting rooms and a grand ballroom accommodating up to 1,000 people.
Anantara Siam becomes the brand’s fourth hotel in Bangkok and its 34th overall. Four Seasons has already confirmed plans to launch a new Bangkok property, which is expected to open in 2018.
