Anantara will start providing free smartphones to guests at two of its hotels in Thailand: Anantara Siam Bangkok and Anantara Riverside Bangkok.
The new “handy” smartphones will provide guests with unlimited local calls, international calls to 10 countries, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, China, the UK and US, plus unlimited 3G data connectivity and Wi-Fi tethering.
The phones are also pre-installed with social media apps like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, along with local information such as currency conversion, maps, GPS, news and translation services.
A taxi card feature also provides details of the hotels’ addresses written in Thai with a location map, to ensure guests to don’t get lost.
Providing guests with handy smartphones has grown in popularity in recent years, with several properties in Hong Kong now offering this service. But Anantara’s two Bangkok hotels will become the first in Thailand to offer these smartphones.
