Minor Hotel Group’s timeshare concept, Anantara Vacation Club, has opened its first purpose-built resort in Phuket.
The new Anantara Vacation Club Phuket Mai Khao comprises 70 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment suites and 30 one- and two-bedroom pool villas. Resort facilities include an Anantara Spa, fitness centre, lagoon-style swimming pool, kids’ club and three restaurants and bars.
“We are very excited to open our first purpose-built… resort here in Thailand. Being such a key location in Asia for shared ownership resorts, Phuket was the obvious choice of destination for our first signature property, which offers the ultimate guest experience for our owners,” said Harold Derrah, CEO of Anantara Vacation Club.
Set in a six-storey complex, the apartment suites will measure between 94 and 128m² and all feature private balconies with garden and pool views. Eight 209m² two-bedroom apartment suites also include private plunge pools while two 346m² three-bedroom units come with large private swimming pools.
The 30 pool villas meanwhile, range from 195 to 265m² and include private pool, outdoor showers, salas with daybeds, and indoor and outdoor dining furniture.
The new Phuket resort Anantara Vacation Club resort joins the portfolio’s existing collection of private villas on the islands in Koh Samui and Bali, plus suites in Bangkok, Sanya and Queenstown.
