Anantara has chosen to use SiteMinder to boost its online distribution.
The Thailand-based hotel company will now use SiteMinder’s distribution system, Channel Manager, to connect its central reservation system (CRS) and revenue management system (RMS) with a range of online booking sites. The company said the deployment would help Anantara achieve “increased revenue and a reduction in operating costs”.
“This level of integration gives us a greater degree of independence and time for our e-commerce and revenue managers to move their focus from managing systems to managing strategies and to concentrate on the tasks that provide us the highest revenue,” explained Marcos Cadena, group director of electronic distribution & e-commerce at Anantara’s parent company, Minor Hotel Group.
SiteMinder’s Channel Manager offers two-way integrations with multiple systems, including the Opera CRS and IDeaS RMS used by Anantara. Dashboard functionality also allows hotels to view a summary of their online performance.
“The opportunity to work with Minor Hotel Group and the well-known Anantara brand is one of the most exciting projects I have been involved in. Together we will continue to expand distribution of their iconic brand around the world,” said SiteMinder’s head of sales in Asia, Kevin Tatem.
