Angsana Ihuru, the luxury resort in the Maldives, has opened a new dive centre.
As part of a major resort-wide upgrade, the Banyan Tree-managed property will now feature a five-star PADI Gold Pal Dive Centre with seven instructors who offer dive training in a range of languages. The centre is one of the few in the Maldives to offer a photo lab where instructors can help divers take pictures or videos while underwater, and is also the first resort in the Maldives to offer SNUBA, which enables snorkelling up to six metres below the surface.
Nitrox is offered on a complimentary basis to all divers and the resort is located 12 minutes away from the DAN (Divers Alert Network) medical facility with a hyperbaric chamber.
The new dive centre forms part of a major revamp of the resort’s facilities, including the refurbishment of 45 beachfront villas, which the resort said are now ideal for groups of friends travelling on a diving holiday.
