AP, Karnataka sign MoU to boost tourism

The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) announced the signing of an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Karnataka state government to facilitate easier booking of trains and hotels to unexplored destinations.
The MoU offers a 50% discount on the bookings and promises to be a win-win situation for both the states. The deal will promote lesser-known destinations in Andhra Pradesh, especially along with the coastline and beaches in Visakapatnam and 10 unexplored destinations that have been identified for promotion, reported the New Indian Express.
The Special Chief Secretary (Tourism) of Andhra Pradesh, Chandana Khan met with the Managing Director of Karnataka Tourism Development Corporation, C D Dyavaiah to discuss measures to enhance tourism in both the states.
