A new television advertising campaign for a serviced apartment provider has been hailed as a ‘breakthrough moment’ for the sector.
The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) said the new Staycity adverts will help to generate awareness of the industry amongst holidaymakers, particularly couples, families and groups.
“The launch of this first TV advertising campaign really is a breakthrough moment for our sector. One of our key challenges is educating both the leisure and corporate traveller about the many benefits of using serviced apartments and television is the perfect medium to explain these benefits very clearly to a much wider audience,” said ASAP managing director James Foice.
Jason Delany, marketing director at Staycity added: “The advert aims to educate guests about the key advantages of a serviced apartment over a hotel room such as a living area with fitted kitchen, additional space and flexibility with additional services such as 24-hour reception and complimentary WiFi.”
Staycity will open more than 370 apartments this year in Greenwich, Venice and Lyon but ASAP said 20% of its 73 members have expansion plans this year.
