Thomson has confirmed the Cyprus hotel Aphrodite Hills will become a Sensatori for its summer 2015 season.

The resort will go through a multi-million pound refurbishment in time for the opening where rooms will be modernised, its pool area expanded and entertainment updated.

When open its dining options will include several restaurants including Italian, Asian and Greek cuisine.

The resort was first announced as a Sensatori back in April but former owners InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) said the talks had not been completed.

The deal has now been confirmed, with the hotel now on sale under a Sensatori for next summer.

“We’re delighted to announce that Sensatori Resort Aphrodite Hills is now on sale to customers looking to holiday in one of the most exclusively located resorts in Cyprus next summer,” said Mark Hall, director of product for Thomson and First Choice. “We are continuing to invest in improving our range of concept hotels, a trend which is actually accelerating, with a record level of investment set to be ploughed into our Sensatori resorts for summer 2015. By building on the fantastic existing infrastructure, we plan to bring the resorts on par with the unique 5T luxurious holiday experience our customers expect.”

Other Sensatori openings are planned for Ibiza and Fethiye next year, on top of those already available in Jamaica, Mexico, Side, Crete, Sharm el Sheikh and Tenerife.
