Airports in Argentina and Chile have reopened as an ash cloud in the area clears. TAM Airlines announced that its flights to Buenos Aires, Asuncion, Ciudad del Eeste and Santiago de Chile will operate as normal today but other flights may still be affected. Montevideo’s Carrasco Airport is still closed. TAM encouraged passengers and travel agents to contact the airline as the situation is ‘changeable. Airports were closed yesterday after the ash from the Puyehue-Cordon-Caulle volcano range in Chile travelled over the area.
