Aston breaks ground in East Nusa Tenggara

Aston International has broken ground on a new hotel and convention centre project in the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara. The Aston Kupang Hotel & Convention Center will become the largest international four-star hotel in East Nusa Tenggara, offering 198 rooms and suites, as well as a 1,000-square metre Grand Ballroom, several other meeting rooms, two restaurants and a wellness centre with spa and outdoor pool. The project is located in the provincial capital, Kupang, in West Timor.

Aston International’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Norbert Vas, said; “Kupang is the commercial hub for East Nusa Tenggara and has potential to become a regional MICE destination to be reckoned with. This new development underlines our confidence in East Indonesia and was only possible thanks to the commercial success of our other East Indonesia Hotels in Jayapura, Manokwari, Manado and Ambon.”

Aston International currently operates 35 hotels in Indonesia and plans on opening an extra 20 by the end of 2012.
