Aurangabad gets tourism development fund

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has received tourism development fund of USD1.45 million.

These funds will be utilised for the development of a rose garden, roads near the historically important monuments in the city and a tourist taxi stand.

The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has allotted the funds to AMC as a part of the Aurangabad mega tourist circuit programme. “The MTDC is the nodal agency for implementation of the project and the AMC is doing part of the work,” the officer close to the development told the Times of India.
