Austrian Airlines has launched its partnership with the Vienna Card, the city’s official card for guests, offered by the Vienna Tourist Board.
The Vienna Card enables passengers with Economy Class tickets on an Austrian Airlines flight to enjoy a ten percent discount on the Business Class Lounge at Vienna Airport on the day of departure. Austrian Airlines passengers can purchase the card online after their booking at austrian.com.
On balance, the Vienna Card offers 210 discounts on museums and sights, theatres and concerts, shopping, in coffee houses, restaurants and wine taverns known as “Heurigen”.
The travel ticket of the public transport operator Wiener Linien is valid for 48 or 72 hours after validation. Discounts from the Vienna Card can be used for the entire last day on which the card is valid.
Visitors to Vienna can purchase the Vienna Card in hotels and at the tourist information centres at Albertina Square, Central Railway Station and the sales and information booths of Wiener Linien or from outside of Vienna using a credit card.
