Austrian launches flights to Mauritius

Austrian Airlines has launched its latest long-haul destination in the Indian Ocean, Mauritius.
Every Thursday the airline will operate a Boeing 767 aircraft flying non-stop from Vienna to Mauritius. The return flight will take place on Fridays. Due to the extensive demand, Austrian Airlines will also offer a second flight per week to Mauritius in the period December 19, 2015 to February 27, 2016.
Austrian Airlines has increased its seating capacity to destinations in the Indian Ocean by 119 percent compared to the winter flight schedule 2014/15. Fights to the Maldives remain very popular, with Austria’s flagship carrier offering up to two weekly flight connections. Austrian Airlines will offer up to five weekly flights to three destinations in the Indian Ocean in the current winter flight schedule.
The flight time to the island of Mauritius is 10 hours 40 minutes. Round-trip tickets are available starting at EUR 899, including taxes and charges.
