The Ayana Resort & Spa in Bali has unveiled a new sister property which is expected to open its doors in September 2013.
Located on an eight hectare plot within the Ayana’s cliff-top grounds, the Rimba Jimbaran Bali will offer 297 rooms and suites, plus conference and banqueting space, two swimming pools, a Chinese restaurant, rooftop bar and a cooking school. There is also a spa with six rooftop treatment rooms.
“This resort has continued to evolve and get even better every year,” said Horst Schulze, chairman of the Ayana’s operator, Capella Hotel Group. “The next stage in this evolution is the opening of this new hotel, Rimba, which has its own story and unique experiences to offer guests.”
‘Rimba’ is the Bahasa Indonesian word for ‘forest’, which reflects its rural setting. A central feature of the hotel is the entire hectare of landscaped gardens with multi-tiered swimming pools, flowers and fruit and vegetable gardens. The resort’s elevated hillside location also offers both sunrise and sunset views, looking out over the Uluwatu Hills and the Indian Ocean.
The addition of the Rimba will increase the Ayana complex’s total inventory to more than 650 rooms.
