The Azamara Quest leaving dry dock

Royal Caribbean subsidiary, Azamara Club Cruises, has announced that the first of its twin boutique ships, the Azamara Quest, has emerged from an eight-day dry dock.

The ship has had work done to all public spaces, staterooms and has also had a new ‘Azamara Blue’ hull – named by the Navantia Shipyard. Painted with a unique navy-blue, the tone of Azamara Quest’s hull was made specifically for the brand.

Azamara is renowned for its longer port stays, with overnights in many of the stops on the ships’ itineraries. The line is focused on a luxury travel, for guests who appreciate night tours in destinations that other, larger ships, are unable to visit.

Work taken on the 694-passenger ship included the installation of new carpets, upholstery, new colour schemes in public spaces, mattresses, furniture, a resurfaced pool and sun loungers. The ship also underwent work on expanding areas such as the casino and adding a new caviar and champagne bar to the Aqualina.

The ship will now sail from the shipyard in Cadiz, Spain on a 13-night Madeira and Canary Islands cruise. On the 2 December the vessel will begin a 16-night trans-Atlantic cruise to Rio De Janeiro to begin its South America season.
