Azerbaijan offers visa on arrival for UAE nationals

The government of Republic of Azerbaijan has lifted advance visa requirement for UAE passport holders effective 15 November 2015.

HE Elkhan Gahramanov, Azerbaijan ambassador to UAE, said that: “The government of Azerbaijan is pleased to announce presidential approval by HE Ilham Aliyev, president of Azerbaijan, to grant UAE passport holders entry tourist visa upon arrival at any of its airports with effect 10 November 2015.”

HE Abulfas Garayev, minister of culture and tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been closely monitoring lifting of visa process for UAE nationals over past two.

Rashid Al Noori, chairman of Atlantis Holidays said: “We are overwhelmed with the good will of president of Azerbaijan HE Ilham Aliyev, for waiving visa requirement procedure for UAE nationals. Undoubtedly, this will facilitate an excellent traffic flow by all categories of UAE Nationals to visit Azerbaijan now.”

The credit goes to all agencies involved in the process, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of both countries and without doubt, this is a historical milestone in the relationship between the two nations.
