British Airways will use an Airbus A380 on its route between Heathrow and Johannesburg from next year.

The A380 service will commence in February next year, following the aircraft’s debut to Los Angeles next week and to Hong Kong from 22 October.

BA is to receive 12 A380s in the next four years and is also taking delivery of 24 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Here actress Thandie Newton graces the aircraft’s staircase that will lead passengers to the upper deck. Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller (or business, premium economy and economy) seats will be located on the upper level. The main deck will host first class, Club World and World Traveller seats.
