Banyan Tree has officially launched its first project in Australia.
The Singaporean hospitality company’s executive chairman, Ho Kwon Ping, cut the ribbon on the Banyan Tree Residences Brisbane development this month, in the company of Brisbane’s Mayor Graham Quirk.
The AU$150 million (US$114m) project will rise at the Kangaroo Point cliffs, offering panoramic views across the city and river. While the new property will feature private residences, Banyan Tree will also provide a series of hotel-style services including a 24-hour concierge, a Banyan Tree Spa and a rooftop infinity-edged pool.
“We are proud to be launching Banyan Tree Residences Brisbane today, which will be one of the most high end developments of its kind in the city. This project will set a new benchmark for luxury residential in Australia with what is offered, and presents a unique opportunity for prospective buyers,” said Ho.
“Through our network of hotels, resorts, spas and golf courses, we are in an incredibly unique position being able to offer our buyers a lifestyle that has the hallmarks of a premium hotel experience, with connections through to our global network. It seems fitting to be building our first residences in Brisbane, which has proven to be a dynamic new-world city that has already drawn great interest from local and international buyers,” he added.
More than a quarter of the 76 private residences have already been sold in the pre-launch phase. Construction is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2016, with completion scheduled for early 2019.
