Best Western Hotels & Resorts has continued its expansion in Myanmar with the launch of a new property in Mandalay.
The new Best Western Plus Eastern Palace Hotel is a modern midscale hotel, located close to the centre of the city. It features a selection of rooms and suites with flat-screen TVs, USB ports and complimentary Wi-Fi, plus a restaurant, lobby lounge, an outdoor swimming pool with pool bar, spa and fitness centre.
And for the MICE market the hotel also features a business centre and meeting space for large or small events.
“Best Western was one of the first international hotel groups to enter Myanmar following its re-emergence on the international stage, and I am delighted to be able to leverage our first-mover advantage with yet another superb hotel in the country,” commented Olivier Berrivin, Best Western’s managing director of international operations for Asia.
“Following our two properties in Yangon, Best Western Plus Eastern Palace Hotel will be another excellent addition to our nationwide portfolio. With Myanmar’s recent elections having passed off peacefully and successfully, this charming and alluring country is set for another prolonged period of prosperity.”
Best Western Hotels & Resorts made its debut in Myanmar in 2013 with the launch of the Best Western Green Hill Hotel in central Yangon. It has since added a second hotel in Yangon, Best Western Chinatown Hotel. And the company said it is planning to expand its footprint further across the country in the coming years.
