Best Western has continued to expand in Indonesia with the launch of a new hotel in Bogor, West Java.

The new Best Western Bogor Icon is a 16-storey midscale hotel in the centre of Bogor, offering 345 rooms, free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, swimming pool and fitness centre.

For the MICE market there is also a selection of meeting rooms and a ballroom that can accommodate more than 1,000 people.

“Best Western International’s Indonesian expansion strategy is now in full swing, and Best Western Bogor Icon is another excellent addition to our fast-growing collection of hotels across the country,” said Ron Pohl, Best Western’s senior vice president of brand management.

“With its ideal location close to Jakarta and excellent transport links, Bogor is becoming a key destination for both domestic and international travellers. Best Western Bogor Icon is an important addition to our Indonesian portfolio, complementing our existing collection of five hotels in nearby Jakarta,” he added.

Olivier Berrivin, Best Western’s managing director of international operations for Asia, commented; “Best Western International has identified Indonesia as one of its most important markets and our arrival in Bogor marks another major milestone in our nationwide expansion strategy. We look forward to welcoming guests to this excellent new hotel.”

Best Western Bogor Icon becomes the company’s 14th hotel in Indonesia, and its launch comes just weeks after the opening of the Best Western Premier The Bellevue in Jakarta.
